Heraldic Chart of the Peyton Family
This DVD contains a copy of the elaborate, illuminated, pedigree chart of the Peyton family prepared by the Herald’s College in 1688 for Edward Peyton, fifth son of Sir Edward Peyton, knight and 2nd baronet of Isleham. The original was discovered some 200 years later in Florence, Italy, by a branch of the Peyton family still residing in Worcestershire, England. In the early 1880s, the original was sent to Bernard Peyton of California to be copied. Two copies were made. One was a copy of the 1688 chart, without additional American generations, that measures 13 feet long. This chart is the one copied on this DVD. It is the property of the Virginia Historical Society, whose cooperation in making the chart available for reproduction is greatly appreciated by The Peyton Society of Virginia.

Once you receive the CD, you may take it to a place offering print services and have the chart printed out on paper, etc.
NOTE: This version of the Heraldic Chart is not the same as the version donated to the Alderman Library in Charlottesville by Bernard Peyton Chamberlain that was extended to include the American branch, as it was understood in 1885. The Alderman version is 19 feet long and includes the additional generations.
