PEYTON HERALDIC CHART-ROLLED PRINT
The Peyton Society of Virginia has made available copies of the elaborate, illuminated Heraldic Chart of the Peyton family originally prepared by the Herald’s College in 1688. The copy now in the Virginia Historical Society was prepared about 1885. The chart was prepared for Edward Peyton, fifth son of Sir Edward Peyton. The Peyton Society wishes to express its appreciation to the Virginia Historical Society for its cooperation and support that made this project possible.
The lower half of the chart, including a handsome rendering of the Peyton arms, is reproduced in The Peytons of Virginia II as the 3rd illustration in the Color Section after page 18 of Volume One. The original chart measured 13 feet x 30 inches.
The copies are available in two versions: 1) rolled color print, and 2) CD. This rolled print product photos display (1) a portion of the chart detail, (2) an example of a satisfied purchaser's own mounting, framing, and display of the chart after purchase.
The color print is a ¾ image of the original Herald’s Chart, divided into two sections placed side-by-side in a 5 foot x 3 foot 9 inches full color print. The charts can be framed or just hung with dowels. They will be shipped in tubes.

NOTE: This version of the Heraldic Chart is not the same as the version donated to the Alderman Library in Charlottesville by Bernard Peyton Chamberlain that was extended to include the American branch, as it was understood in 1885. The Alderman version is 19 feet long and includes the additional generations.
